Man Hit, Killed By Train In South Montgomery County

A train that was involved in a fatal accident Friday morning held up traffic in Oak Ridge North near The Woodlands.

CONROE, TX – A man was killed Friday when he was hit by a train in south Montgomery County near The Woodlands, according to investigators. Police, who have been at the scene for several hours, have not said if the man was walking along the tracks or if he was trying to cross the tracks when he was hit and killed.

The accident, which happened shortly before 9 a.m., caused traffic tie ups at the crossing at Robinson Road and at Cox Road, which were closed until about 1:30 p.m.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
