Prisoner Escapes Custody At Memorial Hermann Hospital

Rickey Rangel, 55, was last seen on foot in the area of Research Forest and Six Pines Drive.

THE WOODLANDS, TX — A man who was under arrest for driving while intoxicated, escaped from Harris County Sheriff's deputies while being treated at Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands on Wednesday.

Rickey Rangel, 55, was arrested Wednesday after a multi-vehicle traffic accident on Texas 249, and was suspected of being intoxicated, according to deputies.

Rangel was being treated for cuts and lacerations received in the accident, and took off on foot in the area of Research Forest and Six Pines Drive.

Investigators said he wearing a baseball cap, dark blue shirt and grey shorts.

Rangel is 5-feet-6 and weighs about 125 pounds, has brown eyes and black hair.
