Tomball Business Leaders Get Strong Forecast For Local Economy
Tomball Mayor Gretchen Fagan kicked off the luncheon telling the crowd that Tomball's economy is exploding.

TOMBALL, TX β Since 2011, the local economy in Tomball has been something worth bragging about. That trend continued during the 11th Annual Economic Outlook Luncheon, hosted by the Tomball EDC.
The Tomball EDC hosts the luncheon each year in an effort to to coordinate economic development efforts with business, industry, and city leaders, which are derived the TEDC's strategic plan.
Tomball Mayor Gretchen Fagan, one of the city's biggest cheerleaders, kicked off the luncheon telling the crowd that Tomballβs economy is exploding as a result of economic development programs that are having a lasting impact.

"This year, Tomball Economic Development Corporation generated $44 million in new business development and business expansion that has retained 163 jobs and created 158 new jobs in Tomball," Fagan said.
One of those key business generators is the Tomball Business and Technology Park, which welcomed the first tenant in 2015.

"With growth coming right along Highway 249 and the Grand Parkway, the City of Tomball and especially the Tomball Business and Technology Park is in an advantageous position," said Kelly Violette, TEDC Executive Director.
Nickson Industrial Warehouses is leveraging the Tomball Business and Technology Parkβs availability to build three tilt-wall office and warehouse buildings because Nicksonβs clients have said they want office and warehouse space in this growing region.
"We only build in business parks," said developer Charles Nickson, who attended the outlook luncheon. "The Tomball Business and Technology Park is the best option in the region, and my clients have told me they are coming here. The city and economic development group have been excellent to work with on these projects."
