Water Safety Week Underway At Woodlands Township Pools

The Township hosted the first of two water safety programs at the Sawmill Pool on Monday, and the Falconwing Pool on Tuesday.

THE WOODLANDS, TX β€” In case you missed it, this week is Water Safety Week at all Woodlands Township Pools. Water Safety Week, which began Monday and continues through Friday, focuses on the importance of learning life-saving skills that help to prevent water-related accidents and fatalities.

As many are aware, the Houston area saw a rash of drownings during the Memorial Day weekend, and the following weekend. As a result, communities including The Woodlands Township, are working to teach children about water safety, which is vitally important to their safety and gives parents real peace of mind that their children are safe while they are in the water.

The Township hosted the first of two water safety programs at the Sawmill Pool on Monday, and the Falconwing Pool on Tuesday.
