Woodlands Township Expands Trolley Service

THE WOODLANDS, TX — The Woodlands Township has expanded the Town Center Trolley to include service to Hughes Landing.

Residents and visitors can now park once and hop aboard the trolley at stops located on Hughes Landing Boulevard.

The free trolleys provide transit to popular retail, entertainment and office locations along the 4.1-mile route connecting The Woodlands Mall, Market Street, Town Center, The Woodlands Waterway and Hughes Landing.

Each trolley can accommodate up to 35 passengers and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990.

Complementary paratransit is also offered for persons unable to utilize the regular Town Center Trolley service.

Stops are conveniently located near retail and business locations, making travel seamless and efficient for residents and visitors when shopping, moving about during the work day or enjoying the many restaurants, concerts and activities in The Woodlands.

In addition to the added stops, riders can now track the Town Center Trolley in real time on a mobile device.

The Ride Systems App can be downloaded for Town Center Trolley information including estimated arrival times, location, stop information, nearby attractions, service alerts and more.

The app can be downloaded for free in the Apple (IOS) or Google Play (Android) store and installed on any smartphone.

After installation, select “The Woodlands Township” from the menu to begin use.

Trolleys arrive approximately every 10 minutes during peak operating hours around retail and office locations throughout the Town Center area.

Trolleys operate seven days a week on the schedule below, excluding Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

• Monday - Thursday: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Friday - Saturday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Sunday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
