U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — A 70-year-old St. Thomas woman is the 57th Virgin Islander to die from COVID-19, according to the V.I. Health Department.

As the number of fatalities keeps rising, the Health Department keeps pushing vaccines. And for good reason: the vaccine has been proven to prevent serious illness and death from COVID-19.

The Health Department recently announced a slew of vaccination pop-ups and events, in addition to the regular operating Community Vaccination Centers on St. Croix and St. Thomas.
