Alfredo Andrews Resumes In-Person Learning Oct. 4

Claude O. Markoe Elementary School will remain closed to in-person learning the week of Oct. 4-8.

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — The Alfredo Andrews Elementary School will resume in-person learning on Oct. 4. All in-person students and staff underwent COVID-19 testing by the V.I. Department of Health (VIDOH) on Oct. 1, and all test results returned negative.

The Claude O. Markoe Elementary School will remain closed to in-person learning the week of Oct. 4-8, with all classes being conducted virtually. Following COVID-19 testing by the VIDOH of all in-person students and staff on Sept. 30, four results returned positive. The VIDOH will conduct a second round of COVID-19 testing for Claude O. Markoe in-person students and staff later this week.

Both schools reverted to virtual learning the week of Sept. 27-Oct. 1 due to COVID-19 exposure.
