🌱 Aliyah Boston Heralded By Sports Illustrated + Wknd Events

• Aliyah Boston has been picked up by a major sports agency, the Klutch Sports Group. She has also been dubbed the "Face of Women's College Basketball" by Sports Illustrated. Boston, who plays for the University of South Carolina and hails from the Virgin Islands, is in the running to be named Naismith Player of the Year. Full story in the VI Consortium.
• Daryl Griffith has stepped down from his position as Executive Director of the V.I. Housing Finance Authority. Chief Disaster Recovery Officer Dayna Clendinen will take over as the agency’s acting executive director. Griffith's next position has not been announced, but he recently said that he would like to explore a new opportunity, via The Source.
• Inter Island Boat Services told News of St. John that ferry services between Cruz Bay, Red Hook and Jost Van Dyke will begin March 4.
• Delicia Daniel was sentenced to 18 years in prison for her role in the death of her son, 4-year-old Aaron Benjamin Jr. Daniel was arrested alongside her boyfriend, Kyle Christopher, and both were charged with first-degree murder, child abuse, and related crimes. Christopher's trial will begin on April 11. Read more in The Daily News.
