"The Black Mermaid" Pop-Up Show And Fundraiser July 31

Bajo El Sol Gallery in Mongoose Junction is hosting a pop-up art show and fundraiser on Saturday, July 31 from 4-7 p.m.

ST. JOHN, USVI — This Saturday, July 31, head to Bajo El Sol Gallery in Mongoose Junction for the “The Black Mermaid Comes to St. John” fundraising event from 4-7 p.m. The gallery is featuring artwork by Carla M. Sewer, Ph.D. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Outdoor Learning Summer Creative Arts and Literacy Workshop in Cruz Bay, St. John.

The Black Mermaid is a character in Sewer's in-progress children’s book. The character was inspired by St. John and fans will get a glimpse of her in the artwork featured and for sale at the pop-up show.
