CDC Advises Against Traveling To USVI
The U.S. Virgin Islands was one of 16 destinations determined to have a "very high" Covid-19 risk level.
U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — The Centers for Disease Control released a list of 16 countries this week that travelers should avoid due to high COVID-19 infection rates. The U.S. Virgin Islands was one of them.
According to the CDC, countries designated as "Level 4: Covid-19 Very High" are considered high-risk because they have had more than 500 cases per 100,000 residents in the past 28 days. Under CDC guidelines, travelers should avoid visiting these locations. If a trip is unavoidable, travelers should be fully vaccinated first.
