U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — The Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) unveiled an updated logo on Tuesday. The previous version had been in use since the organization was founded in 1990.
The refreshed logo was designed by Soleil Creative, a Virgin Islands and Florida-based agency led by co-owners Alison Hastings Schmidt and Fianna Fleuss. It is intended to "reflect the growth and evolution of the Foundation over the years," said CFVI President Dee Baecher-Brown. "Since the previous logo was well-established and recognized in the community, we felt it important to build on that," she said.
CFVI Communications Manager Sean Liphard described the symbolic intention of the logo, "the island image represents the entire USVI and our territory-wide presence and service areas with an emphasis on renewal, growth, harmony, and stability."

Liphard pointed out that the three iconic red roof structures symbolize not only the three main islands, but also house/home, which is the foundation for several of CFVI's core focus areas: children and families, early childhood, and education.
"The buildings also convey the idea of community, which includes our nonprofit partners, donors, those we serve, and all USVI residents," he said.
