U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — An 81-year-old man died of Covid-19 last week, becoming the 27th victim of the virus in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Not much has been released about the victim other than that he was a resident of St. Thomas.

In a news conference on Monday, Governor Bryan reminded folks that the virus still poses a significant threat. "Our latest Virgin Islander to succumb to COVID-19 is a stark reminder that this virus is still a threat to the health and safety of our community. That is why we continue to urge everyone to take the vaccine and continue to wear your mask, practice safe social distancing and wash, wash, wash your hands,” said Governor Bryan.
