Cyril E. King Airport Is Heating Up This Summer, Literally

Air conditioning issues at the Cyril E. King Airport are causing warm temperatures inside the terminal.

ST. THOMAS, USVI — Air conditioning units at the Cyril E. King Airport were malfunctioning this weekend, causing warm temperatures inside the terminal. The sensors for the AC units were damaged by fluctuating electrical surges experienced at the terminal. Technicians reset the sensors, but they continued to fail. It wasn't until Saturday late afternoon that they were able to fix the units.

The Virgin Islands Port Authority has apologized for any inconvenience caused to the traveling public, the airports tenants, and employees.
