It's worth a look because the Delta variant is the most dangerous version of COVID-19 to date.
According to the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Delta variant is more contagious - as contagious as chickenpox - and it makes people sicker than the original virus. It is also more likely to break through a person's immunity, whether that immunity comes from a vaccine or previous infection.
