Police Charge Man In August 22 Watergut Shooting

Police say Curtis Williams is accused of shooting an adult male near the Watergut Shanty on August 22.

ST. CROIX, USVI — Detectives with the Virgin Islands Police Department arrested 32-year-old Curtis Williams. Williams, of no fixed address, is accused of shooting a man near the Watergut Shanty on August 22. The victim suffered life-threatening injuries.

Williams has been charged with attempted murder, unauthorized possession of a firearm and unauthorized possession of ammunition.

Williams was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections after failing to post $250,000 bond, pending his Advice of Rights hearing.
