Police: Double Homicide On Sunday Night In Charlotte Amalie

Police are investigating a shoot-out at Vitraco Mall that left two men dead.

ST. THOMAS, USVI — Two men were the victims of a double homicide, according to the Virgin Islands Police Department. On Sunday night, police responded to reports of multiple shots fired and two males down at Vitraco Mall.

Officers found one man lying in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds and no vital signs, said Police Spokesman Toby Derima. The man was later identified by family members as 31-year-old Marc J. Thomas.

A second male victim, who has yet to be identified, was taken to Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center where he was treated for multiple gunshot wounds. He died from his injuries.

Police have not released any information regarding the relationship of the men or possible motives behind the shootings.
