Police: St. Croix Man Extradited from Florida on Murder Charges
Police say Guillermo Riveraeaths is responsible for the deaths of Juan Velazquez and Miguel Ramos on April 17.

ST. CROIX, USVI — A St. Croix man was detained in Orlando, Florida and extradited to the U.S. Virgin Islands on Friday, say police. Guillermo Rivera, age 28 of the Aureo Diaz Heights housing community was subsequently arrested by the Virgin Islands Police Department and charged with first-degree murder for the deaths of Juan Velazquez and Miguel Ramos.
Police say Rivera shot both victims on April 17 in Aureo Diaz Heights. "Rivera sustained injuries during the shooting incident and later traveled to the mainland for treatment," said Police Spokesman Toby Derima.
"We are still searching for Justin Nesbitt in relation to this case. We are urging him to make arrangements to turn himself in,”said Sean Santos, Chief of Police in the St. Croix District.
