ST. THOMAS, USVI — The V.I. Port Authority is preparing for two cruise ships to dock in Crown Bay for the first time since March 2020. The ships, Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas and Celebrity Equinox, will both be berthed at the Austin “Babe” Monsanto Marine Terminal starting at approximately 7 a.m.

The Allure of the Seas had long-planned to be in St. Thomas on Thursday, but the Port Authority only learned of the arrival of the Celebrity Equinox on Wednesday afternoon. The ship was initially scheduled to visit Antigua on Thursday, however, the Equinox changed its route and is now coming to St. Thomas.

“Both the Equinox and the Allure will have approximately 2,000 passengers and about 2,000 crew on board. This is fantastic news for our merchants, restaurants, taxi and tour operators, and other tourism-related businesses," said VIPA Executive Director Carlton Dow. "Almost all the passengers on both ships are fully vaccinated, and VIPA continues to work closely with its private and government stakeholders to ensure that all cruise visits are safe for the community and our guests.”
