Storm Watch: Low Pressure System Builds Strength As It Heads West

A low pressure system located south of the Cabo Verde Islands is likely to become a storm before the weekend.

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — Forecasters with the National Hurricane Center are expecting another tropical storm to develop in the Atlantic before the weekend.

A low-pressure system is currently several hundred miles south of the Cabo Verde Islands and is moving westward at 15 mph. Experts say conditions are favorable for it to become a tropical storm by Friday.
