Students At Claude O. Markoe Elementary Return To Class Tuesday
Students were sent home on Monday due to a power outage that affected most of the campus. The issue has been resolved.
ST. CROIX, USVI —The V.I. Department of Education announced that students at the Claude O. Markoe Elementary School will return to in-person classes on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
The school was forced to call for an early dismissal on Monday due to a power outage that affected most of the campus.
WAPA crews were dispatched to the Frederiksted school to resolve the issue, which resulted from vegetation growing on an electric pole that caused a fuse to blow.
