Three More Covid Deaths in BVI, Officials Rush To Vaccinate
Three more people died from Covid-19, bringing the total deaths in the BVI to 17. Meanwhile, officials run drive-thru vaccination clinics.
TORTOLA, BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS — The Ministry of Health & Social Development for the British Virgin Islands announced three more Covid-19 related deaths over the weekend. The total number of deaths in the BVI is now up to 17.
Meanwhile, officials are racing to get more people vaccinated. They held the first drive-thru vaccination clinic on Saturday, July 17. The program is called Operation Protect Each Other Drive-Thru Vaccination. A total of 432 residents received vaccines on the first day.
As of July 18, 24 people are hospitalized due to Covid-19.
