Tropical Depression Eighteen Likely To Be A Storm Within 24 Hours

Forecasters expect it will continue to strengthen into a hurricane over the weekend.

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — Forecasters with the National Hurricane Center expect Tropical Depression Eighteen to strengthen into a Tropical Storm on Thursday and to become a hurricane over the weekend.

The tropical depression is currently moving west at about 15 mph and could hit the U.S. Virgin Islands early next week.
