U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — Tropical Storm Victor is the latest storm of the 2021 season to earn a name. While Victor is showing signs of strengthening over the next few days, its predicted path steers far from land.

Currently, Tropical Storm Victor is moving west-northwest at about 13 mph, with maximum sustained winds of almost 40 mph. Steady strengthening is forecast, and Victor is expected to become a hurricane in a day or two.

Fortunately, experts at the National Hurricane Center predict Victor will turn northwest by the weekend.
