VIPD: St. Croix Man Kidnapped Victim At Gun Point
Police arrested 25-year-old Talibe Suleiman of Clifton Hill and charged him with first-degree kidnapping.

ST. CROIX, USVI — Police arrested 25-year-old Talibe Suleiman on Wednesday and charged him with first-degree kidnapping, according to Police spokesman Toby Derima.
Suleiman allegedly forced an adult male into his vehicle at gunpoint from the side of Melvin Evans Highway. The kidnapping occurred near the old HOVENSA Training School.
The victim was released shortly after in Lorraine Village Apartments. He suffered multiple lacerations to the head and received treatment at the Juan Francisco Luis Hospital & Medical Center. Police arrested Sulieman at his residence in Clifton Hill.

Unable to post $75,000 bail, Sulieman was placed in the custody of the Bureau of Corrections, pending his Advice of Rights hearing.
St. Croix District Chief of Police Sean Santos, Sr. thanked members of the community who came forward with information that led to the quick apprehension. “We have the ability to close these cases very quickly when the community assists. Let’s keep up the collaboration, and we can make our islands safer,” Chief Santos said.
