VIPD: Woman Sexually Assaulted In Frenchtown Early Sunday AM

The female victim was assaulted near a Frenchtown restaurant. Police are investigating.

ST. THOMAS, USVI — A woman told police she was raped by a caucasian male with a ponytail near a restaurant in Frenchtown, according to a VIPD press release. The victim was able to walk to her home following the assault and her significant other called 911. She was later taken to the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medica Center for evaluation.

The Virgin Islands Police Department is investigating the incident.
