ST. JOHN, USVI — Motorists on St. John should keep an eye out for traffic diversions around Mongoose Junction this week. The V.I. Water and Power Authority starts work on Monday on an electrical underground project that will involve trenching and conduit installation from Mongoose Junction towards downtown Cruz Bay. Traffic flow will be adversely affected, and flaggers will be on-site to assist with traffic control.

The project will replace overhead electrical lines and equipment with underground facilities to minimize service restoration time in the aftermath of hurricanes and other windstorms.
