Woman Dies After Crashing Into A Tree On Northside Road
One person, identified as Amaris Chew, age 34, died in the accident.
ST. THOMAS, USVI —On July 10 at approximatley 1 a.m., police responded to a one-car accident on Northside Road, in the vicinity of the Francis Water Company.
According to the V.I. Police Department, the female driver of a burgundy 2015 Acura ILX was traveling north at a high rate of speed when she lost control of the vehicle and collided into a tree on the northern shoulder of the road. The driver, identified as Amaris Chew, age 34 of Estate Calquohoun, died at the scene.
The VIPD confirmed that she was not wearing a seatbelt.
