FBI Director Nominee Chris Wray To Testify July 12
Wray will appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee in a bid for the now high-profile FBI directorship.

WASHINGTON, DC — The Senate Judiciary Committee will hear testimony from President Trump's nominee for FBI director, Chris Wray, on July 12 at 10 a.m. Eastern.
Since President's Trump's firing of the bureau's previous director, James Comey, the position has become even more closely watched than usual and the independence of his replacement will be an issue . Comey has testified that Trump asked him to drop an investigation into former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. Comey also said that Trump asked him to dinner to ask for his "loyalty." Wray should expect senators to inquire about his own meetings with Trump before he secured the nomination and whether professing "loyalty" to Trump was a prerequisite.
