Jeff Sessions Is 'Pissed' At Trump, But He's Not Leaving: Report
The Daily Beast spoke with several of the attorney general's allies to glean his reaction to the president's recent attacks.

WASHINGTON, DC — Attorney General Jeff Sessions continues to weather an onslaught of public derision from President Trump, but he is committed to sticking it out, according to a new report from The Daily Beast. Despite an apparent push to embarrass Sessions into resigning, sources told the outlet that Trump has only managed to "piss" him off.
The derision began with Trump's recent interview with the New York Times, when he said that he never would have hired Sessions had he known the attorney general was going to recuse himself from the Russia investigation. Trump later tweeted out that Sessions was "beleaguered" and wasn't doing enough to target Hillary Clinton. On Tuesday, Trump said at a press conference, "I am very disappointed with the attorney general, but we will see what happens.” (For more information on this and other political stories, subscribe to the White House Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)
Sessions still appears to have allies in the White House, though, including two of Trump's top aides, according to The Daily Beast. And with his political agenda so closely tied to Trump's, Sessions may be a difficult person to excise from the administration.
