'They Are So Well Run': Trump Praises Florida's Absentee Voting
"Florida is different," the president said, continuing to oppose mail-in voting elsewhere in the United States.
WASHINGTON, DC — President Donald Trump praised his home state of Florida during his daily news briefing on Tuesday, setting it aside from other states that have initiated a mail-in voting process. The president has come out against mail-in voting in recent days, stating it would lead to "the most rigged election" if widespread.
"Florida is different," Trump said. "Florida has a great Republican governor... They have been working on this for years. They are so well run, with a great system of absentee ballots."
He has said other states, Nevada mentioned specifically, could lead to lawsuits with the mail-in voting system in the works there.
