U.S. Should Get 'Large Percentage' Of TikTok Sale: Trump

President Donald Trump said he wants "no security problems" with China, and that the video app should be bought by an American company.

WASHINGTON, DC — The United States should get "a large percentage" of the TikTok sale price and it must be sold to an American company, President Donald Trump said during his Monday news briefing.

"We want no security problems with China," Trump said. "We want, and think we deserve, to have a big percentage of that price coming to the treasury."

The president didn't specifically address reports that surfaced earlier Monday that Microsoft was primed to buy the popular video app.
