Becky Brindle, Patch Staff
- Upper St. Clair, PA
Becky Brindle is the local editor for the Upper St. Clair Patch.
Prior to joining Patch, Brindle worked for WTAE in Pittsburgh. She first limped into the newsroom on crutches as an intern. A few months later in August 2005, she recovered from her tennis injury and joined the news station as an associate producer. After graduating college, she signed on as a TV news producer. During her time at WTAE, she produced a variety of newscasts, including Channel 4 Action News This Morning from 4:30 a.m. to 6 a.m. and Channel 4 Action News at 6 p.m. She was also one of the creators and hosts of a daily webcast called Links N'@.
Brindle graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in Communication and a B.S. in Psychology. She is a four-year letter winner in tennis. Brindle continues to support Pitt athletics as a member of the Varsity Letter Club Board of Directors.
Her love of sports also helped her earn an internship at Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh during her time at Pitt.
Brindle first discovered her love for journalism at Providence High School in Charlotte, North Carolina where she often read the news for the Providence Morning Roar.
