HSD Helps Future Students, Parents Prepare for Kindergarten

Bio: I was born in Arkansas and grew up in Hazelwood, Missouri. I attended Armstrong Elementary and graduated from Hazelwood West High School.
I have always had an interest in news, history and story-telling and realized my junior year of high school that journalism was my career path.
Upon graduating in 2002, I entered the University of Missouri-Columbia and graduated in 2006 with a Journalism degree.
I have worked at newspapers, television and radio stations in Columbia, Missouri; Utica, New York; Myrtle Beach-Florence, South Carolina; and Jacksonville, Florida.
I was an account manager for a multicultural advertising and public relations agency before my return to the St. Louis area and news as a member of the Patch team.
Politics
I'm an objective individual that believes in listening to both sides of any issue.
Religion
I am a believer in God and know that all blessings come through him. I am Christian and was reared in the baptist denomination. I' am a member and have attended New Sunny Mount Missionary Baptist Church on the Northside of St. Louis since I was 4 years old.
