Christy has been a journalist for the past 11 years. She graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit with a BA in journalism. During that time, she worked as a freelance writer for several local publications and completed internships in and out of state. Afterward, she worked as a news reporter for the Detroit Free Press for six years, where she covered communities, crime, growth and development and much more. While reporting high-profile criminal cases, Christy had stories appear in publications across the country, including USA Today. Her work has also been published in The Huffington Post and AOL news homepage.
