Plymouth Meeting Friends School is an independent Quaker school, guiding children in their most formative years of Pre-K (age 3-5) through 6th grade to become lifelong learners. In an environment of social-emotional security, students develop their curiosity into academic risks and growth. We preserve childhood while preparing students to leave PMFS as creators, thinkers, collaborators, global citizens, and problem-solvers.

Hallmarks of our program include:

--Spanish taught in all grades

--A 5th Grade student exchange with Colegio Williams, a bilingual school in Cuernavaca, Mexico (in its 50th year in 2020)

--Peer mediation training

--Arts-integrated and co-curricular instruction for deeper understanding

--Individualized attention

Located just 3 miles northwest of Philadelphia, the woods, playground, and fields of our eleven-acre campus serve as a living laboratory for exploration and creative discovery in all aspects of the curriculum. Of our student population, 52% live in Philadelphia, 38% are children of color, and 9% have same sex parents. Financial aid, up to 50% of tuition, is available. School district busing is available for areas within 10 miles of the PMFS.
