The Downers Grove Area Branch of the AAUW presents Solutions to Climate Change that Benefit You and the Environment by Dorelle Ackermann. Dorelle is a retired science teacher who was trained in 2017 as a Climate Reality Project Leader. Please join us as she highlights 4 solutions that can benefit individuals while contributing to healing our planet. Topics include food waste, meat consumption, home energy use and transportation.
In addition to individual solutions, Dorelle will touch on our power to influence companies and government (especially local government) to move us to a more sustainable way of life.
