Panthers Considered Contenders for Woodland Crown

Bio: David Cotey comes to Patch after nearly a decade with NOW Newspapers (formerly CNI Newspapers), where he was a senior sports writer and editor for multiple communities, including Greenfield and Greendale.
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee alum is a multi-time Wisconsin Newspapers Association and Suburban Newspapers Association award winner. He and his wife Angela have two children: Hannah and Carson.

The "Mid-Season Celebration" will feature a small expansion, giveaways and more from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Konkel Park on Sunday, Aug. 25.
The six-day celebration begins Aug. 28 and runs through Labor Day.
The season opener is Friday. The last time the teams played, back in 2011 at Hart Park, the Trojans pulled out a 21-13 victory.
The Falcons open their 2013 season with a road game at Slinger on Friday, Aug. 23.
