Whether the holidays bring you joy or struggle, whether you're seeking rest from a weary year or simply a moment of calm, you are welcome here. Come as you are. No pretense required.
Free and open to all. Accessible entrances from S. Maple and S. Finley Avenues. No RSVP needed—simply arrive and find a seat. The sanctuary will remain open after the service for those who wish to linger in the peaceful, candlelit space.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship - 4:00 PM
Join Bishop Janes United Methodist Church for a Christmas Eve service at 4:00 PM on December 24th.
Celebrate "The Light Has Come" with traditional carols, Holy Communion, and the warm glow of candlelight. This service includes a message of hope, prayer, and beloved music of the season—perfect for families with young children.
The 4:00 PM time is ideal for those planning to attend dinner afterward or join the annual Christmas Eve Carol Sing on Basking Ridge's Town Green at 7:00 PM, where neighbors gather to sing nine traditional carols as church bells ring across the historic village. There will also be a service after the Carol Sing at 7:45.
All are welcome at Christ's table, regardless of church background. The service will be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship - 7:45 PM
Join Bishop Janes United Methodist Church for a Christmas Eve service at 7:45 PM on December 24th, following Basking Ridge's beloved annual Carol Sing.
This candlelit service offers space to reflect on "The Light Has Come"—God's presence entering our darkness with hope and healing. Experience traditional carols, Holy Communion, candlelight filling our historic sanctuary, and a message for these times.
The 7:45 PM service creates a complete Christmas Eve experience: begin at 7:00 PM with community caroling on the Town Green as church bells ring, then come inside to celebrate the light that has come.
All are welcome regardless of church background or belief. The service will be livestreamed at bjumc.org.
