Family Promise of Sussex County, Neighbor

Family Promise of Sussex County has been serving the community for 25 years. Our agency began as a grassroots effort to address homelessness in our county and blossomed into a full spectrum of services for individuals and families in Sussex and the surrounding counties who are experiencing a housing crisis.

Our approach involves both prevention services for individuals and families in danger of losing their homes, and shelter and rehousing services for those already experiencing homelessness. To accomplish this our agency offers a range of services including emergency shelter, transitional housing, eviction prevention, rapid rehousing, permanent supportive housing, housing search assistance, utilities assistance, mobile outreach, and many others. We also have a food pantry that provides hygiene products and a computer lab for clients.

Our mission is to secure housing stability and sustainability for those in crisis… because everyone deserves a home. And it’s our vision that every individual and family shall have a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future.
