Notes on the Economy
Some brief thoughts on our sluggish economy and the failure of policy makers to understand its impacts.

Hank Kalet grew up in South Brunswick and spent 20 years with the Princeton Packet group before moving to Patch.com as regional editor for southern Middlesex and Mercer counties.
He is a poet whose work has appeared in numerous publications. His chapbook, Certainties and Uncertainties was published by Finishing Line Press in November.
He is an adjunct professor of English at Middlesex County College and a member of the editorial board of Middlesex: A Literary Journal. He runs the monthly poetry series at the South Brunswick Library, which started in 2005 and has featured numerous award-winning regional and national poets. His column, Grassroots, runs in The Progressive Populist twice a month, his music and arts journalism has run in numerous publications and he is author of the blog, Channel Surfing (www.kaletblog.com).
He is a long-suffering fan of the Mets and Knicks and lives in South Brunswick with his wife Annie and his two dogs.
