Since his first column saw light, a grade-school newsletter treatise on cricket, John has gained bylines in local, national and niche publications on both sides of the Atlantic. John covers the south-west quadrant of America for Patch - from Pacific to Plains - including midwest, south-central and southwestern states. His beat involves state and local government, education, commerce and environmental issues. John is a member of the National Council on Public History and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
