A federal investigation found wastewater treatment operators at the Clinton plant "routinely bypassed the system on a weekly basis," illegally discharging thousands of gallons of wastewater at a time to the storm drain that led to Hayden Creek.
Of that, $500,000 will be used to construct a fishway at the Chapman Mill Pond in Clinton, and $500,000 will be used to fund water quality or ecosystem restoration projects in the lower Hammonasset River watershed.
“This will be the biggest parade Milford has seen in a long time," Bob Gregory, the 375th Anniversary Committee chairman, said.
For those participating in the April 3 fundraiser, Chili's will donate 10% of each dinner bill to the East Haven D.A.R.E. program.
The home invasion stemmed from a domestic violence incident, and at no time was there a threat to the general public, police said.
