East Haven GOP Chairman Paul Carbo says the state's Elections Enforcement Commission voted unanimously to dismiss a complaint brought by former DTC Chair Gene Ruocco alleging Mayor Maturo's 2013 re-election campaign conducted illegal push polling.

Jesse MacLachlan was unanimously endorsed as the Republican candidate this fall for 35th District — which includes the towns of Clinton, Killingworth and Westbrook.
This year, the town will honor William Heaney: an East Haven resident and a recipient of the Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge, Parachute Wings, The Vietnam Cross of Gallantry and three Presidential Unit citations.
