Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge

Friends of Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge will present the first Second Sunday Program of 2026, Wood Turtles at Great Swamp Head-Starting Program, on January 11, 2026, from 1:30-3:00 PM. 
Dr. Kurt Buhlmann, PH.D., Senior Research Associate at the University of Georgia Savannah River Ecology Laboratory, will give an update on the Headstart Turtle program at Great Swamp NWR. The Refuge and Friends of GSNWR have supported this research program for 15 years!
This program will be via Zoom only:
Registration is required can be done online at ttsu.me/turtles.

 Zoom log-on information will be sent to everyone who registers on Sunday, January 11 at Noon.
Second Sunday programs are hosted by Friends of Great Swamp NWR and USFWS with generous support from the Marta Heflin Foundation.
