I am an assistant vice president and senior core infrastructure deployment manager in St. Louis, MO. My main areas of responsibility are to manage and deploy all core updates, applications and changes associated with the platform and infrastructure.
I am also the executive program director for the Mid America Teen Community Emergency Response Team (MATC or TEEN CERT), and past President and Chairman Emeritus of the St. Charles County LEPC Citizen Corps Council.
Mid America TEEN CERT is open to anyone 12 years and older, including adults. The MATC program is based on the adult FEMA G-317 course, but includes a great deal more information and emphasis on team building, special needs and emotional health. The 22-hour course teaches students how to better prepare themselves, families and communities for all emergency situations.
The program has earned the distinction as the No. 1 Emergency Preparedness Program and Youth Program in Missouri, and No. 1 Child and Youth Emergency Preparedness Program and Outstanding Achievement in Youth Preparedness in America. Mid America TEEN CERT has held the honor as No. 1 Emergency Preparedness Program and Youth Program in Missouri since 2010; however, this was the first year the program was selected No. 1 Child and Youth Emergency Preparedness Program in the country.
