Celebrate the launch of&nbsp;Held in Silt, a new solo exhibit by&nbsp;<a href="https://www.wanggallery.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Allen Wang</a>&nbsp;on&nbsp;Saturday, January 17th,&nbsp;6:00–9:00 PM&nbsp;at our&nbsp;Opening Reception at <a href="https://eventthem.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">EventThem Studios</a>. This evening reception invites guests to explore Allen’s latest collection of charcoal work while enjoying light refreshments and casual conversation with the artist, as well as live performances by FM Collective and Lamb Rest Band, music by DJ Tikiven, and interactive experiences with Luna’s Henna Designs.
Guests will have the opportunity to learn about Allen’s process, ask questions, and gain insight into his experiences that inspire his work. Whether you’re an art enthusiast or simply curious, this is a great way to engage with local art and support Medford’s creative community.
This event is&nbsp;free and open to the public&nbsp;— come connect, unwind, and experience an evening of art and inspiration.

Opening Reception: Allen Wang – Held in Silt @ EventThem Studios

<a href="https://eventthem.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">EventThem Studios</a>&nbsp;presents&nbsp;Held in Silt, a new exhibit of charcoal work by&nbsp;<a href="https://www.wanggallery.com/art" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Allen Wang</a>, a multi-disciplinary artist and student at Tufts University and their School of Museum of Fine Arts, on display from January 2nd–30th.
Allen was born in a small village on the Loess Plateau in Northwestern China, his work rooted in its landscapes and people, “a place carved by wind, silt, and time.” His artistic journey began at an early age, filling his childhood home with doodles and gaining inspiration from his village in the Loess Plateau and later the cityscapes of Shanghai. Currently, Allen attends Tufts University studying Computer Science and Fine Arts at their School of the Museum of Fine Arts. In totality, his work reflects different types of stillness from the people and places he has seen through his childhood and in his current home in New England. His work invites viewers to sit with the ambiguity of the stillness and “feel their way through the in-between.”
