Winning from Within – The Athlete’s X-Factor: Forging Resilience brings together top voices in sports psychology and mental performance to help student athletes build the mental edge that today’s sports environment demands.
Teen athletes are under more pressure than ever. From competition and expectations to social and academic stress, resilience isn’t optional anymore—it’s trainable. This program is designed to give athletes practical tools they can use immediately, on and off the field.
Join us on Sunday, January 11th at 7-8:15PM&nbsp; &nbsp;At the event, athletes will learn how to:
• Stay focused under pressure
• Build real mental fitness
• Boost confidence and performance
Featured speakers include:
• Michael Sweetney – Former NBA player (New York Knicks &amp; Chicago Bulls), coach, and mental health advocate
• Leah Jantzen, MA – Former Ironman competitor, mental-performance coach, host of Still in the Game
• Dr. Steven Frierman, PhD – Sports psychologist, Hofstra professor, youth resilience expert
Additional highlights:
• Students earn 2 community service hours by attending and sharing takeaways with teammates
• Students may attend on their own, with teammates, or with family
