Mk Moore, is a veteran of the United States Air Force, Psychologist, International Senior Human Resources Professional and a dedicated community activist and volunteer.
Mk retired his professional career in 2012 and began his retirement career – volunteering.
Mk volunteers with the AARP, New York Cares, Food Bank of New York as a Certified Tax Preparer, New York City DOT adopt-a-highway program, New York City Council District 29 as a Participatory Budget delegate, Trees New York as Citizen Tree Pruner and with NYC Department of Parks and Recreation both as a Super Steward in NYC Parks and an Aerobics Instructor through the NYC Shape UP program at the Kew Gardens Community Center.
Mk is the Chairman for the Metropolitan Area of the New York New Jersey Trails Conference. Responsible for the 20 hiking trails covering over 100 miles in all five boroughs and organizes community events and training programs.
Mk is the founder of the not-for-profit organization Friends of Forest Park. His activities engage community members, politicians, fraternities, sororities, boy/girl scouts and local schools.
Mk is also an activist in his local community, Kew Gardens, Queens. As a regular at Community Board 9 meetings and the 102nd Precinct Community Council he constantly pushes the Kew Gardens and Forest Park Agenda.
Mk holds letters of proclamation, commendation and awards from the New York State Senate, New York City Council and multiple community organizations.
