Student Housing: A Divide Between Luxury And Affordability
At UW-Madison, with new luxury apartments popping up, students looking for more affordable options feel left behind.

Hi there!
I am a reporting intern based in Madison, Wisconsin. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May 2021 as a journalism and political science major. During my four years as a Badger, I wrote for my school's student newspaper, The Daily Cardinal, as well as various local publications in Dane County.
In my free time I love listening to new music (send me recs!), attempting crossword puzzles, thrifting and taking lakeside strolls with my friends.
Please feel free to reach out to me at molly.carmichael@patch.com with any tips and ideas.
