Now you can enjoy this timeless tradition throughout the changing seasons as our Rootstock Chef: Niki Heber creates delectable savories and sweets that include classic flavors as well as seasonal twists. Nestled in the Snyder building's Tea Room, this event is sure to delight the senses. And we are happy to accommodate vegetarian diets at our teas. Please let us know of any vegetarian requests when purchasing your ticket so we can prepare for your visit. No other substitutions or special dietary requests are available. We encourage you to register (website) your entire party together so we can seat you accordingly. Set across the Arboretum’s walkable pathways and indoor spaces, this year’s botanical-themed light displays highlight the University of Minnesota’s historic plant introductions and innovations. Guests will encounter dazzling tunnels, glowing gardens and nature-inspired installations that illuminate the science and magic of the natural world. New for 2025! Step into a breathtaking indoor forest of evergreen trees, each adorned with artful, nature-inspired decorations. During the winter months, snowshoes are available to rent so visitors can explore winter trails and find the best moon-viewing spots before warming up around a bonfire and roasting a marshmallow.
